Final Fantasy VIII Inspiration

Winter is one of my favorite seasons of the year, since colder temperatures mean I get to whip out all my big coats, sweaters, and blanket scarves for some creative layering. While assembling today's outfit, I realized the color scheme reminded me of Squall's costume design from the video game, Final Fantasy VIII. This was completely unintentional of course, but wow! Major nostalgia vibes for us 90's kids.

Now onto the outfit! Target has been killing it with their winter clothing line recently. I love how affordable everything is, but you can still look put together for any special holiday affair with the right accessories. Here, I draped a gray blanket scarf over a patterned cardigan and added some elegant crystal earrings from Swarovski to take it from a day to night look.
