Wowlily Facial Cleansing Brush Review

I have been practicing an 8 step skincare routine + religiously slathering on a minimum of 50 SPF sunscreen since my early 20s. I remember being told by friends that layering so many products on my face at a young age was overkill since my skin already had sufficient elasticity and collagen. Nevertheless, I always followed my mother's advice regarding skin health. You're never too early to start taking care of your skin. Prevention is the key to aging gracefully.

After 9 years of fine-tuning my skincare regimen, step one has consistently stayed the same; cleansing! Currently, I am using this compact pink facial brush from Wowlily to remove my makeup at night before bed.

Here's how to use it:
  • Remove all your makeup first.
  • Wet the brush as well as your face
  • Apply your regular cleansing product on your face. Turn on the brush (the '+' button) and gently glide in circular motions for 1 minute.
  • Rinse your face and pat dry

And that's it! It's very easy to use and my skin feels so refreshed afterwards. After using the Wowlily brush for a couple weeks, I've compiled a few pros and cons.

Pros:
  • The brush is very soft and gentle on the skin. I love the textured areas on both sides which allows me to scrub away any dirt or impurities.
  • It charges up quickly via a USB cable.
  • You can adjust the cleaning intensity via the '-' or '+' buttons on the brush. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend using it on the lowest setting and working your way up from there.
  • The compact size is perfect for travel. It fits in any makeup bag and it's very easy to clean.
  • At a $25.99 price point, it's much cheaper than other cleansing tools out there such as the Foreo or Clarisonic.

Cons:
  • There is no auto timer on the brush, so you have to make sure you keep track of how long you are using it in each area of your face.
  • It does not possess the same of cleaning power of my Clarisonic Mia 2, another cleaning tool I use, but it does the job for when you're on vacation and can't bring something that's super bulky.
  • You must remove the first layer of your make-up with something else in order for this brush to penetrate deeper into your skin.

Overall, I did enjoy using the Wowlily brush and recommend it as the perfect travel beauty tool for your next trip or if you are on a budget but still want to enhance your cleansing regimen.
